Individual Therapy

Dr Janine Clarke provides individual psychological therapy to adults dealing with with a range of difficulties, including:

  • relationship problems;
  • confidence and self-esteem issues;
  • anger management;
  • sleep difficulties;
  • procrastination;
  • perfectionism;
  • stress management;
  • depression and low mood; and
  • anxiety-related disorders.
Janine has a particular interest in diabetes, and has experience helping people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to deal with a range of issues, including:

  • adjustment to the diagnosis;
  • depression and low mood;
  • diabetes-related fear and anxiety;
  • diabetes-related distress;
  • difficulties with self-care;
  • problems with food and eating; and
  • goal-setting

Janine uses evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She provides a comprehensive individualised assessment and works collaboratively withher clients to set treatment goals and construct treatment plans that are highly personal and reflective of the best available scientific evidence.
