Dr Janine Clarke provides individual psychological therapy to adults dealing with with a range of difficulties, including:
- relationship problems;
- confidence and self-esteem issues;
- anger management;
- sleep difficulties;
- procrastination;
- perfectionism;
- stress management;
- depression and low mood; and
- anxiety-related disorders.
Janine has a particular interest in diabetes, and has experience helping people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to deal with a range of issues, including:
- adjustment to the diagnosis;
- depression and low mood;
- diabetes-related fear and anxiety;
- diabetes-related distress;
- difficulties with self-care;
- problems with food and eating; and
- goal-setting
Janine uses evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She provides a comprehensive individualised assessment and works collaboratively withher clients to set treatment goals and construct treatment plans that are highly personal and reflective of the best available scientific evidence.
